My client, a leading engineering/manufacturer in Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that their products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer.
The Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager, will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance to the company, client and any regulatory standards. They must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition. The goal is to help both preserve and grow our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.”

Quality Manager
The Quality Manager is responsible for understanding customer needs and requirements, in order to develop effective quality control processes as well as devising and reviewing the specifications for products or processes. It is essential that all manufacturing processes and products are effectively controlled and monitored working towards Target Zero defects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
* Devise and review specifications for products or processes
* Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
* Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
* Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
* Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
* Approve the right products or reject defectives
* Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
* Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
* Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
People
* Coach, train and supervise direct reports, leaders and managers on how to follow attain the required standards and specifications
* Develop a team culture of continuous improvement and customer focus (internal and external customers)
* Positively influence and work closely with managers from other departments such as Procurement, Production & related functions, Planning and Technical

* Preserve and grow the reputation for high quality manufacture
* Provide accurate, timely and up to date information and performance data to the Finance Manager and the wider business
* Lead internal and external audits
* Comply with all relevant government and local authority legislation
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as quality manager
* Conscientious and responsible
* A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
* Outstanding communication skills
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Proficient in MS Office
* In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
* Excellent mathematical abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
* Business Administration qualification or relevant field
* Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
